December 7th marked the performance of ‘Private Lives’ by Noel Coward, the first dramatic play that ISM has ever staged.

The production was a resounding success, and it ushered in a new dawn for drama at ISM. Fourteen weeks in the making, the play included five cast members: Elona (Y11), Artem (Y12), Tiffany (Y12), Alexander (Y12) and Amelia (Y7). Their hard work showed through on the night, with students showing confidence in their delivery and well-developed characters with distinctively unique traits. In addition, the minimalistic but effective set and backdrops, including glamorous costumes and nods to the era of art deco and the big band, set up a convincing and evocative atmosphere that transported spectators into the 1930s.

In addition to our fantastic student actors, we would also like to congratulate and thank our technical team, maintenance team, catering team, and all staff members who helped to make this event such a memorable and successful one!

This amateur production of ‘Private Lives’ was presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk
