Today marked yet another historic milestone for the International School of Monaco as we had the honour of welcoming His Royal Highness Prince Edward, The Duke of Edinburgh, to our new school building in Testimonio II to officially confer the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award to ISM students.

The event began with a warm welcome from the Director and President of the Board of Trustees, followed by a performance of the UK National Anthem and a Primary School choir performance. Students delivered speeches about the International Award, and a student piano solo was a highlight before HRH presented the awards. Following the awards ceremony, HRH toured the new school building and unveiled a commemorative plaque, followed by a cocktail reception in the atrium with our community.

This special occasion highlights ISM’s proud tradition as an accredited centre offering the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award for over 20 years, with 39 students participating this year in either the Gold, Silver or Bronze Award. As an IB World Continuum School, ISM remains committed to nurturing global citizens through experiential learning and community service.

Thank you to everyone in our community who joined us for this memorable event!
