Save the date for the 2nd AFEC Championships – Tennis!

Following the success of last year’s inaugural edition, ISM and the World Academy of Sport (WAoS) are thrilled to organise the 2nd edition of the AFEC Championships – Tennis, an exciting event which will once again be hosted by ISM and held from October 9th-12th, 2024.

This event, featuring 4 days of intense tennis competition with boys and girls aged U18, will take place in Monaco and its surroundings, with the qualification matches and semi-finals played at Tennis Padel Soleil and the finals being played at the Monte-Carlo Country Club. All parts of this event are exclusively reserved for athletes from AFEC schools, ISM and the surrounding host community around Monaco & southern France.

All participating student-athletes are also invited to attend educational workshops with Olympians that will focus on the support required for young tennis players to become professional tennis players. These educational workshops will be held on Friday, 11th October for all student-athletes at ISM and will be delivered by Olympic athletes Heather Fell (Pentathlon) and Philipp Waffler (Pentathlon). Session 1 will be held from 9:00 – 9:45 AM, and session 2 will be held from 10:00 – 10:45. Sessions will take place in the cafeteria and will be interactive, informative, but most importantly, inspiring for our athletes. All of our approved WAoS students will be in attendance, and parents are invited and welcome to attend as well! Parents are invited to sign up here.

 

In parallel to the AFEC Championships, ISM is also pleased to once again hold an Exhibition Tournament for Primary School athletes.
