From October 20-25, ten ISM students from Years 9 and 10 embarked on an enriching journey to London to participate in the first-ever King’s Camp.
Accompanied by Mr. Fouilleul and Mme. Gauthier, they joined sixty peers from the global network of King’s College School, Wimbledon, with most participants coming from China and Thailand.
Throughout the week, students engaged in a dynamic mix of academic workshops and cultural experiences. Mornings were dedicated to thought-provoking sessions in Economics, STEM, and Model United Nations, where students explored critical global issues, honed their analytical skills, and collaborated with their international counterparts.
Afternoons provided an opportunity to discover London’s iconic landmarks. Students took in breathtaking views from the London Eye, experienced the magic of West End theatre with a performance of The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, and immersed themselves in the city’s rich history.
The camp concluded with an inspiring visit to Oxford, where students were guided by former King’s students now studying at the prestigious university. This unique experience gave them a glimpse into academic life at one of the world’s top institutions and motivated them to aspire to new academic heights.
We are incredibly proud of our ISM students for their enthusiasm, curiosity, and engagement throughout the camp. Their participation not only broadened their academic horizons but also fostered international friendships and cultural understanding, reinforcing ISM’s commitment to global education.
