We were delighted to welcome all staff back to ISM for the start of the new academic year.
It was wonderful to see the excitement and energy of colleagues, who were all clearly looking forward to continuing the wonderful progress and momentum of the school.
During whole-school staff meetings, we focussed on the success of the school in implementing its guiding statements, welcomed new staff, reflected on the achievements of last academic year as well as reviewed the strategic priorities for this coming academic year. These include a strong focus on professional learning and academic challenge throughout the school, as well as starting the process of the CIS Self-Study Review, building on the achievements of the outstanding CIS Preparatory Report from June 2022.
Our back-to-school week for staff also included whole-school sessions focussing on wellbeing, safeguarding, learning support and security, as well as training sessions delivered by King’s College School, Wimbledon on the topic of stretch and challenge in the classroom. Many thanks to our colleagues at King’s for sharing their enthusiasm and expertise in this area!
