Who owns knowledge? Can there be some knowledge that is independent of culture? What challenges are raised by the communication of knowledge? What counts as good evidence for a claim?
These and many other questions were explored by our Year 12 IB Theory Of Knowledge students in their TOK Exhibition today, with each student linking one chosen question to three specific real world objects – ranging from the Large Hadron Collider to a bench in a park. The images of their objects were displayed along with written explanations justifying their choices. The Year 11 students and many staff members were able to quiz them on their exhibitions, and we hope that they came away from it reflective and/or inspired. Certainly, there was a buzz of excellent and energetic conversations in the Exhibition space! Bravo!
