From the Board of Trustees
Dear Parents,
We would like to thank those of you who voted in our Association’s General Assembly, which took place on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021. The support you have shown for your Association is greatly appreciated! For those who were unable to attend, please note that a recording of the evening’s proceedings is available here.
We are very pleased to inform you that Justin Hilbert and Raffaella Perris Magnetto Tamborrino were re-elected to the Board for an additional two years. Their mandates will conclude at the end of the 2022-2023 academic year. Please join us in congratulating them on their appointment as well as their commitment to ISM!
At a subsequent Board Meeting to appoint the Association’s Office Holders, Justin and Raffaella were reappointed to their respective positions of Chair and Vice-Chair. Marco Repetto and Felicity Reardon will continue to fulfill their current positions of Treasurer and Secretary.
This year has been a very successful one for ISM. The Association agreed our revised articles, and as a result we were able to appoint an additional eight members to the board, three of whom are non-parents. The increase in expertise and leadership is very welcome. The achievement of students at IB is the best we have had ever thanks to the hard work of students and staff (and, of course, you as parents). Students at ISM have graduated to some of the world’s top universities and we continue to have high aspirations for all our students whatever their age. Finally, our Year 6 Cambridge Checkpoint results in maths are the best they have ever been, with 95% of Year 6 students achieving the expected grades. All of this has contributed to the increasing popularity of ISM, and we are delighted to say that the school is full with waiting lists for places.
This would not be possible without the fantastic leadership of our Interim Director, Julian Thomas, and the hard working, talented and committed team of teachers and leaders across the school. In August we welcome our new permanent Director, Stuart Bryan, who brings his vast experience working in a range of international schools to ISM.
We would like to express our gratitude for your support throughout the 2020-2021 academic year. We hope you have a lovely summer holiday with your families. See you in September!
Sincerely yours,
The Board of Trustees
